This used OEM BMW ECU DME / Cas4 Theft Locking Module / Lock Cylinder w/ Key, part number 7609670, also replaces 8610680, 7645143, 7640087, and several others. The theft locking module handles vehicle immobilization and the DME controls engine management; a failed module can cause no-start or key not recognized. Programming is required—the module must be coded to your vehicle and VIN by a qualified shop. Pulled from a 4.4L V8 Turbo or 4.8L V8 BMW donor.
