Used BMW ECU DDE / DME Engine Control Module, OEM part number 8512417. This used genuine module also replaces numbers 8572131, 8517705, 8512416, 8513135, 8511126, 8506420, and 8506419. It is designed for the 3.0L 2993CC inline-6 diesel DOHC turbocharged engine (M57). This control unit manages fuel injection, boost pressure, and emissions; a common failure symptom is a no-start condition or limp mode with a check engine light. This part must be coded to the vehicle’s VIN upon installation by a qualified shop or dealer.
