The OEM BMW ECU DME / FEM module / lock cylinder with key (part 8699973) is a used genuine unit from a donor 3.0L turbocharged I6. This combined module also replaces 8672514, 8635896, and 7555417. It controls engine management and ignition/door security; a failed DME can cause no-start or rough running. Programming/coding to the vehicle is required upon installation by a qualified shop.
