This used genuine OEM BMW ECU DME / FEM Module / Lock Cylinder with Key (OEM 8588425) integrates engine control, body electronics, and ignition lock functions for diesel models. When the DME fails, symptoms include no-start, stalling, or drivability issues. The FEM module controls lighting, wipers, and central locking. This unit must be coded to your vehicle’s VIN by a qualified shop upon installation. Removed from a BMW 328d or 535d with 2.0L or 3.0L turbo-diesel engine.
