This used OEM BMW Emergency / Parking Brake Actuator (part 6864546) also replaces 6874220, 6868514, and 6795145. Often called the parking brake actuator or electronic parking brake motor, it controls the rear brake calipers for the park-brake function. A common failure on BMW X5 and X6 models with 3.0L inline-6 or 4.4L V8 engines produces a "parking brake malfunction" warning and a clicking noise without engagement.
