This used BMW Engine Acoustic Foam, OEM 9845183 (also replaces 11148666848), is a genuine used part removed from a donor vehicle. It mounts on the left side of the engine bay to absorb and dampen powertrain noise, helping keep the cabin quieter. Designed for 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engines, the foam reduces vibration and sound transmission. When the material becomes oil-soaked or brittle over time, engine noise can become more noticeable, so replacement restores the original acoustic insulation.
