Used BMW engine block, OEM part number 2357458, a genuine factory component removed from a donor vehicle. This block also replaces the earlier 2212959 number. It's the core cast-iron or aluminum structure that houses the rotating assembly and combustion chambers for the N20 and B48 family 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engines, found in both gas and plug-in hybrid configurations. A common failure point on these engines is timing chain guide wear or oil pump chain failure, which can require a complete block replacement if the damage is severe.
