This used BMW OEM engine/hood ground strap cable, part number 7530542, provides the electrical bonding path between the engine and chassis. It's a front-mounted ground strap, also known as an earth cable or grounding strap. When this ground strap fails or corrodes, you may experience dimming lights, erratic sensor readings, or hard-starting conditions due to a poor engine ground.
