This BMW engine hood seal (OEM 8066661, also replaces 8058561) is a used genuine part removed from a donor vehicle. Also known as a hood seal or engine seal, it mounts on the left side of the engine bay to block dirt, moisture, and engine noise from entering the cabin. On the S55 3.0L twin-turbo I6 found in the M3 and M4, a worn or missing seal can allow excessive engine bay heat and road debris to intrude. Genuine OEM fitment ensures proper compression against the hood panel.
