BMW engine oil cap gasket, OEM part number 7553999, is a used genuine replacement seal for the oil filler cap. This gasket prevents oil leaks from the filler neck by forming a tight seal when the cap is installed. Over time, the rubber hardens and can allow oil to seep out, leaving residue around the cap area. Compatible with BMW models equipped with the 3.0L 2979cc inline-six, both naturally aspirated and turbocharged variants. Replacing a worn gasket is a simple fix to stop that messy oil weep.
