This component, fitted to 3.0L V6 diesel (including DOHC Turbocharged) and 3.0L V6 gas supercharged engines in the Audi Q5, Q7, and Volkswagen Touareg, transfers heat from engine oil to coolant to maintain proper operating temperature. When the cooler fails, oil may leak externally or cross-contaminate the coolant, leading to reduced lubrication, overheating, and potential engine failure. Replaces the original equipment cooler to restore correct oil temperature regulation.
