This is a used OEM BMW engine oil windage tray / baffle / deflector, part number 7502668, also replacing 1748876. It sits inside the oil pan to separate oil from crankcase gases, preventing oil slosh and aeration during hard cornering or acceleration. A failing or missing windage tray can lead to oil starvation and engine knock in high-RPM driving.
