A used OEM BMW engine valve / cylinder head cover, part number 7566286 (also replaces 7570939), for the left bank. This cover seals the upper valvetrain on N63 and N62-series V8 engines, including the 4.4L twin-turbo and 4.8L naturally aspirated variants. When the original cover cracks or its gasket fails, oil leaks onto exhaust manifolds, producing a burning smell.
