BMW Firewall Engine Bay / Windshield Cowl Cover, OEM part number 9206483 (also replaces 9353040). This used genuine plastic cowl panel sits at the base of the windshield, bridging the engine bay and cabin air intake. It seals the gap between the glass and the firewall, keeping debris and moisture out of the fresh-air plenum. When this cover cracks or warps, you may notice water leaks into the cabin or increased engine-bay noise.
