This genuine EVAP canister (also called charcoal canister) captures fuel vapors from the tank to be purged into the intake for combustion, reducing emissions. A failing canister often triggers a check-engine light or causes a strong fuel smell. From a BMW Z4 with a 2.5L or 3.0L naturally aspirated inline-six engine.
