This used OEM BMW Fuel EVAP Charcoal Canister (part number 7312781) also replaces 7224859, 7185155, and 7185153. It stores fuel vapors from the tank, preventing them from escaping into the atmosphere. A failing canister often triggers an EVAP system check-engine light or makes the fuel pump nozzle click off prematurely during refueling. This unit was removed from a BMW 7 Series equipped with engines ranging from the 3.0L I6 and 4.4L V8 to the 6.0L V12 turbo.
