This BMW fuel tank ventilation valve, OEM part number 7552771, is a used genuine component also replacing 7618652. It manages vapor pressure in the fuel system, preventing vacuum lock and ensuring proper tank breathing. A failing valve can cause a strong fuel smell, hard starts, or a check engine light for EVAP system faults. It's designed for the N54 and N55 3.0L six-cylinder engines, both naturally aspirated and turbocharged.
