It fits select BMW plug-in hybrids and range-extender models—such as the 330e, 530e, i3, and X5—with 2.0L turbocharged PHEV or 0.6L range-extender engines. The cap seals the filler neck to prevent evaporative emissions and fuel leaks. A loose or worn cap often triggers a check-engine light for an evap system leak, so a proper seal is essential.
