This used OEM BMW ground cable/strap (part 8631637, also replaces 8601251) provides the critical electrical ground path between the battery and chassis. For the BMW i3 and i3s, available with the 0.6L range-extender or pure BEV powertrain, a failing ground strap can cause intermittent starting issues, dim lights, or sensor glitches. Also called a ground cable, it ensures stable voltage and prevents electrical faults. A direct bolt-on replacement from a donor vehicle.
