This genuine Audi harmonic balancer (079105251L) is a used OEM crankshaft pulley removed from a donor Audi R8. Also known as the crank pulley, it dampens torsional vibrations from the 4.2L V8 engine's crankshaft. A failing balancer can cause noticeable engine vibration at idle, a rattling or thumping noise from the front of the engine, or premature wear on the serpentine belt and accessory components.
