BMW harmonic balancer / crankshaft / crank pulley OEM #1439683 (also replaces 7568345), a used genuine part. Fits BMW V8 engines from the 4.4L and 4.8L naturally aspirated N62 family. This pulley absorbs torsional vibration from the crankshaft; when its rubber bonding deteriorates, it can cause wobble, belt chirp, or timing-chain noise. The three alternate names—harmonic balancer, crank pulley, and crankshaft pulley—refer to the same component.
