This genuine OEM Hatch / Trunk Lid Strut (part 3CN827851B) is a used, original VW hatch strut removed from a donor vehicle. Also known as a trunk lid strut, this gas-charged support fits either the left or right side. Designed for the Volkswagen Atlas equipped with either the 2.0L turbo or 3.6L V6, it provides the lifting force needed to hold the hatch open. When these struts weaken, the hatch may fail to stay up on its own, making loading or accessing cargo awkward.
