This BMW infotainment controller powers audio and navigation across i3 and i8 models, including the BEV, range-extended, and 1.5L turbo PHEV variants. It supersedes numerous earlier numbers (prefix 93-, 68- series, e.g. 6826792, 6832272). On install, the head unit must be coded to the vehicle/VIN by a qualified shop or dealer. Symptoms of a failing unit include blank screen, no sound, or unresponsive touch controls.
