A used OEM BMW Hood Insulation / Sound Blanket, part number 7284629 (also replaces 51487284629), this genuine component reduces engine noise and heat transfer to the hood. Over time, the fiber material can sag or become oil-soaked, diminishing its insulating effect. This blanket fits BMW X5 and X6 models equipped with 2.0L plug-in hybrid, 3.0L gas/diesel, or 4.4L V8 engines. A direct mechanical replacement, it simply clips into place.
