BMW Hood Latch Release Cable, OEM part number 7300572. This used genuine OEM cable is for the rear hatch release on select BMW models, including the 228i Gran Coupe and X1. It also replaces part numbers 7300568 and 51237300572. When this cable fails, the rear hatch may not open from the outside or inside release handle. The cable connects the interior release to the rear latch mechanism, and a broken or stretched cable prevents the latch from disengaging.
