Volkswagen hood strut / shock OEM 3C8823359 (also supersedes 35D823359) is a used genuine OEM part salvaged from a donor CC. This gas-charged strut supports the hood when fully open. When it loses pressure, the hood will no longer stay up on its own—a common failure that makes checking fluids or working in the engine bay difficult. The same part works with both the 2.0L turbo EA888 and the 3.6L VR6 engine variants.
