BMW OEM hydraulic alternator belt tensioner, genuine used part no. 1717188. This factory tensioner (also known as the hydraulic belt tensioner for the alternator drive) keeps proper tension on the serpentine belt. When it fails, you may hear belt squeal or chirping, or the belt may slip, affecting charging and accessories. Removed from a BMW with a naturally aspirated inline-six engine—fits multiple 2.0L–3.2L I6 applications.
