It serves the N63 and S63 V8 engine families, including the 4.4L twin-turbo and 4.8L naturally aspirated versions found in 5-Series, 7-Series, X5, and X6 models. A failing intake manifold on these engines often triggers a "P12A6" or similar lean-run bank code, causing rough idle, reduced power, or a check-engine light.
