This used genuine OEM Kickdown Switch / Actuator (part number 4B0959897B) also replaces 3D0959897. When the accelerator is pressed past the detent, the kickdown switch signals the transmission to execute a full-throttle downshift. A failing switch can prevent that downshift or cause inconsistent throttle response. This switch is compatible with 4.2L V8, 5.2L V10, and 6.0L W12 naturally aspirated engines in select Audi and Volkswagen models.
