The BMW liftgate control module (OEM 7317419, also replaces 7335274 and 7304626) is a used genuine part from a donor X5/X6. Also called the liftgate control unit, it manages the power tailgate's motor, latch, and sensors. When this module fails, typical symptoms include a liftgate that won't open or close, stops mid-cycle, or the latch won't release. This unit must be coded to your vehicle's VIN by a qualified shop after installation.
