This is a used OEM BMW outer seat switch trim bezel, part number 6979644, which also replaces numbers 6979646, 6972454, and 7118500. It mounts on the front right side of the seat, covering the switch opening and providing a clean, finished appearance around the controls. When the original bezel is cracked or broken, it can leave the switch mechanism exposed or cause the trim to sit loosely.
