This is a used BMW Positive (+) Battery Terminal Cover / Cap, genuine OEM part number 6844137. It’s a protective plastic cap that fits over the positive battery terminal on many BMW models equipped with 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 or 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 engines, including mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants. The cover prevents accidental short circuits and corrosion by shielding the exposed terminal. When missing or cracked, the battery connection risks debris or moisture contact—a simple replacement restores safety under the hood.
