It carries hydraulic fluid from the pump to the steering rack on BMW X5 and X6 models equipped with 3.0L I6 (naturally aspirated or turbo), 4.4L V8 turbo, or 4.8L V8 naturally aspirated engines. When this hose develops a leak or internal restriction, you may notice stiff steering, low fluid, or visible seepage near the connections.
