This genuine component helps dissipate heat from the power steering fluid, preventing overheating and maintaining steering assist performance. A common failure symptom is reduced steering responsiveness or fluid leaks from the cooler lines. Removed from a donor BMW X3 with either the 2.5L (M54) or 3.0L (M54) naturally aspirated inline-six engine.
