Also called the steering gear, this rack replaces a series of earlier numbers beginning with 253460—including 2534602500 and 2534609000. It came from a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine application. The rack converts steering wheel rotation into wheel movement with hydraulic assistance.
