This used OEM BMW power steering suction hose (OEM part number 6850683) is a genuine replacement line removed from a donor X5 or X6. Also known as a power steering suction line, it carries fluid from the reservoir to the pump. It supersedes part numbers 6792488 and 6779923. When this hose develops a leak, you may notice whining from the pump, air in the system, or loss of steering assist. It fits both 3.0L six-cylinder engines (naturally aspirated and turbocharged) and the 4.4L turbo V8 found in these BMW models.
