Also known as the SCR switch, DEF switch, or diesel power switch, it controls the Selective Catalytic Reduction system on BMW 3.0L diesel engines. When this switch fails, it can trigger a check engine light and force the vehicle into reduced power mode, often preventing proper DEF injection.
