This used OEM BMW seat belt retractor (OEM part number 7367249) replaces 7258435 as well. It is the front left position unit removed from a donor vehicle. As a safety-critical component, this retractor must be installed by a qualified technician. When functioning properly, it locks the belt during sudden stops or impacts and retracts slack for a secure fit. If the retractor fails, the belt may not retract smoothly or lock in a collision, compromising occupant protection. This retractor came from a BMW X3 or X4 equipped with one of several 2.0L or 3.0L gasoline or diesel engines.
