This genuine OEM unit replaces part numbers 4L0898522A, 4L0898522D, 4L0898522F, and 4L0898522K. It detects whether the front passenger seat is occupied, which controls airbag deployment logic. When this module fails, the airbag warning light may illuminate or the passenger airbag may not activate correctly.
