The BMW stabilizer / sway bar (OEM 6870657) is a used genuine rear anti-roll bar removed from a donor vehicle. It serves to reduce body lean during cornering by linking the suspension on both sides. As a rear unit, it helps balance the X3 and X4 chassis, especially on turbocharged 2.0L engines. When the bushings or the bar itself wear, expect a clunking sound from the rear over bumps or during turns.
