BMW steering column assembly OEM part number 6896187 — a used genuine unit removed from a donor vehicle. This column also replaces 6887897 and 6865682. It incorporates the stalk-mounted controls and tilt/telescope mechanism, and was originally fitted to turbocharged 2.0L and 3.0L engines found in the G20 3 Series, G01 X3, G02 X4, and G29 Z4. Over time, these assemblies can develop play in the intermediate shaft or electrical faults in the column module.
