A used OEM BMW steering column cover/trim, part number 9288974, also replaces 9226013 and 9353131. This plastic shroud encloses the area around the steering column base, covering the ignition switch and wiring. When this trim piece is cracked or broken, it can leave the steering column mechanism exposed and may cause a rattling noise while driving.
