This genuine shaft also replaces a long series of numbers including 4E0419512EX, 4E0419501KX, and 4E0419501HX. It connects the steering wheel to the steering rack, transmitting your input to the wheels. A failing shaft can cause excessive play, clunking noises, or a loose feeling in the steering wheel. This specific shaft was removed from an Audi A8 or S8.
