The BMW Steering Column / Wheel Module (OEM 9166343) is a used genuine unit pulled from a donor X5 or X6. Also replaces 6786254, 6782828, 6780517, and 6777060 (serving the 67xxxxx series). This module manages steering wheel-mounted controls, turn signals, wiper activation, and column tilt/telescope adjustments. When it begins to fail, symptoms often include intermittent wiper or turn signal response, unresponsive steering wheel buttons, or a malfunctioning adjustment motor.
