This used genuine OEM BMW strut / shock absorber, part number 6796469, was removed from a donor vehicle and is ready for installation. It is a rear unit that can be placed on either the left or right side. Designed for 3.0L engines—both the turbocharged N55 and naturally aspirated N52—it controls rebound and damping to keep the tire planted. A failing shock allows excessive bounce, reduced handling stability, and uneven tire wear.
