This BMW sunroof motor (OEM 7213044) is a used genuine OEM unit pulled from a donor vehicle. It is also known as a sun roof motor, and it supersedes part numbers 2993883 and 7293444. Designed for front sunroof operation, this motor powers the glass panel’s tilt and slide functions. A failing sunroof motor often causes a non-responsive or noisy roof—if it stops moving or makes grinding sounds, the motor is the likely culprit.
