This is the sun roof / sun roof switch, controlling the power-operated glass panel in the cabin ceiling. It was removed from a BMW 7 Series (745i, 745Li, 750i, 750Li, 760i, 760Li, Alpina B7) with V8 or V12 engines including the 4.4L, 4.8L, and 6.0L naturally aspirated or supercharged units. A failing switch may cause the sunroof to stop responding, move erratically, or fail to open or close.
