This BMW Transfer Case / Box Control Module (OEM 7606629) is a used genuine part, pulled from a donor vehicle. It also supersedes numbers 7605031, 7597892, and 7569969. The module manages power distribution between axles in the all‑wheel‑drive system; failure often triggers driveline warning lights, transfer case fault codes, or a loss of AWD. This unit requires coding to the vehicle VIN upon installation by a qualified shop. It was originally installed in 3.0L six‑cylinder and 4.4L/4.8L V8 gas and diesel variants of the BMW X5 and X6.
