Also superseded by numbers 4E0399151AH and 000399151AP, this mount serves both left and right positions. It secures the transmission to the chassis, dampening driveline vibration and preventing excess movement. When worn, a failed mount often produces a dull clunk during acceleration or deceleration, along with noticeable drivetrain shudder.
