This mechatronic assembly controls hydraulic pressure and shift timing within the automatic transmission; when it fails, common symptoms include harsh or delayed shifts, slipping between gears, or transmission fault warnings. This unit must be programmed and coded to your specific vehicle's VIN by a qualified shop or dealer after installation.
